Signs You Need a New Roof

A roof replacement is a big decision. These are the signs that tell us a roof has reached the end of its useful life.

Leaks Keep Coming Back

When one repair is followed by a new leak somewhere else, the roof as a whole is wearing out.

Worn-Out Underlayment

On tile roofs, the underlayment under the tiles keeps water out. Once it fails across the roof, patching won’t hold.

Widespread Damage

Many cracked or missing tiles, curling shingles or a cracked flat-roof surface across large areas of the roof.

Sagging or Soft Spots

A roof that dips or feels soft can mean water has damaged the roof deck underneath.

Repair Costs Adding Up

When you’re paying for repairs year after year, a new roof is often the better investment.

An Aging Roof

Years of desert heat and UV wear roofing materials out faster. An older roof deserves a close inspection.

Roof Replacement Questions

Roof Replacement FAQ

How much does a roof replacement cost?

The cost depends on the size of your roof, the roofing material you choose, and the condition of the roof deck underneath. We start with a free inspection and estimate so you know the price for your roof before any work begins.

How long does a roof replacement take?

It depends on the size of the roof, the roofing material and the weather. Many home re-roofs take just a few days. One of our customers had the new roof on her 1,300 sq ft home finished in 3 days. We’ll give you a timeline for your project before work starts.

Can my roof be repaired instead of replaced?

Often, yes. If the damage is limited to one area and the rest of the roof is in good shape, a repair may be all you need. Our free inspection tells you which option makes sense. Learn more about our roof repair services.

Why do desert roofs wear out?

Extreme heat, intense year-round sun, wind and occasional heavy rain wear down roofing materials over time. On tile roofs, the underlayment beneath the tiles often wears out before the tiles themselves, which is why many tile roofs need re-roofing even when the tiles still look fine.

Do you replace mobile home and commercial roofs?

Yes. We re-roof mobile and manufactured homes and replace commercial roofs for businesses, HOAs and rental properties throughout the Coachella Valley, in addition to residential tile, shingle and flat roofs.

What areas do you serve for roof replacement?

We replace roofs throughout the Coachella Valley, including Cathedral City, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, Indio, Indian Wells, Bermuda Dunes, Thousand Palms, Desert Hot Springs, Coachella and surrounding communities.
